INSTRUCTOR BIOS:

​Kelsey Erickson is the founder of Circus Sanctuary. Our opening date, 1/1/2018, roughly marks 10 years of training in the circus arts. Kelsey Erickson loves to learn, teach, and perform. She has performed for thousands and has over 15 years of teaching experience. In 2008 she discovered circus and fell down the rabbit hole. Kelsey completed her professional training program at NECCA where she stayed to teach for a few years. Kelsey has completed teacher trainings in Yoga, Aerial Fabric, Lyra, Sling,Trapeze, Unata Aerial Yoga, and AcroYoga Montreal.

To invest in each and every student. To teach a variety of circus skills to all ages, abilities, needs, aspirations and body types, in a way that is safe, scientifically sound, and technically proficient. To offer a process oriented approach that encourages self love, awareness, personal responsibility, and joy.

Na-il Emmert has been dancing since he was 12, has done gymnastics since he was 15, and has done martial arts since high school. He holds black belts in multiple martial arts disciplines. Na-il holds a B.A. in Anatomy and Physiology from the University of Arizona, which focused on applied anatomy and musculature in dance. He's been teaching for 6 years. He is an attentive teacher and loves working technique. Nai-l is also a phenomenal performer known for his stage presence and precise movements.

Randy Wilde started performing at a young age in theatre and singing.  Throughout high school and college he pursued both theatre and opera, sparking him to go to Utah State University to earn his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and Physical Theater.  He has been acting in performing for different theaters over the past 20 years.    He currently is a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Group Fitness Instructor through A.C.E. (American Council of Exercise).

Randy has been practicing dance and circus over the past 10 years. Pushing himself to be the best he can be.  For the past 4 years He has been part of the Professional Intensive Program at Circus Warehouse in NYC, training on Aerial Fabric, Dance Trapeze and Duo Trapeze.  Randy has performed with companies in Arizona and New York City such as :  Flam Chen, Scandaleque, CSA Events, American Circus Theatre, Bindlestiff Family Circus, Screaming Queens Entertainment,  Black Haus Creative and Theatre Uzume. He has also had the pleasure to be part of the Aerial Text Experiments for the past 2 years.

Emilie Arbaugh started her aerial journey right here in Tucson. After training aerial rope with Stormy Hudelson of 3-D movement, she headed to The New England Center for Circus Arts for the intensive program. Out of the program, Emilie started working for The Kelly Miller Circus. Over the next five years, she developed acts in Incline Motorcycle, Aerial Rope and Low Wire. Emily is a traveling circus performer but she considers Tucson and Circus Sanctuary home.


Personal Mission Statement: As an instructor, I want to provide a safe and fun environment to become whatever physical movement person you want to become. From the intense performer level aspiration to the recreational stress relief student, I want to help you achieve that goal.
